Retina Inside Sales Representative – Western Region
BioCare is seeking a Retina Inside Sales Representative to support accelerated new business growth while managing a rapidly expanding portfolio of smaller and mid-sized accounts. This role is critical to expanding BioCare’s footprint across the retina market by proactively driving new business opportunities, expanding product portfolio in emerging practices, and supporting inbound early-stage prospects.
The Inside Sales Rep will operate with high account volume and prioritization discipline, focusing time and effort on where revenue impact is greatest. Success in this role is measured by revenue contribution, pipeline conversion, and account progression, consistent with BioCare’s 2026 incentive compensation structure. This position supports customers and prospects across multiple time zones (CST, MST, PST) and is expected to be available during normal business hours for those customers.
This is not a customer service role—it is a revenue-driving sales role with clear accountability.
Core Responsibilities
1. New Business Growth & Opportunity Conversion
- Own a high-volume book of business consisting primarily of small to mid-sized retina practices and emerging groups.
- Convert inbound leads, warm referrals, and early-stage prospects into active BioCare customers.
- Proactively prospect within assigned accounts and territories to uncover incremental growth opportunities.
- Support new logo acquisition by qualifying opportunities and advancing them through the sales funnel.
2. Account Management & Revenue Expansion
- Manage ongoing relationships with assigned accounts, prioritizing those with the highest revenue potential.
- Drive product adoption, mix optimization, and incremental share growth within existing accounts.
- Transition accounts that exceed defined size thresholds to outside sales, in coordination with leadership.
- Maintain focus on revenue impact over account count, avoiding low-value, low-impact activity.
3. Sales Execution & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner closely with Outside Sales, AllyGPO Sales Team, Sales Support, and Operations to ensure smooth onboarding and account activation.
- Support pricing discussions, contract execution, and onboarding milestones for new and expanding accounts.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact during early account growth phases.
4. Pipeline Management & Sales Discipline
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting in Salesforce CRM.
- Actively manage pipeline stages, probabilities, and expected close timing.
- Provide visibility into risks, stalled opportunities, and upside potential.
- Use data and performance insights to continuously refine account focus and selling strategy.
Reinforces incentive design tied to measurable outcomes—not effort or activity alone.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–6+ years of inside sales or healthcare sales experience, preferably in specialty distribution, pharma, or medical sales.
- Experience selling into complex provider environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Retina or ophthalmology experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high account volume while prioritizing revenue impact.
- Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable operating in a performance-driven environment.
