We are seeking an experienced professional that will be responsible for managing the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) business processes, within specialty pharmaceutical products spanning hematology, immunology, ophthalmology, and oncology. This involves establishing and continuously improving upon supply and demand forecast modeling, right-sizing on-hand inventory requirements, and managing consignment processes. This role is also vital to short-term and long-range network capacity planning within our expanding distribution network. This team member will effectively communicate with and provide regular updates to all stakeholders including customer service, warehouse, finance, contracting, sales, and the reporting/analytics teams.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Establish and continuously optimize inventory models to ensure optimal order fulfillment, balanced with right-sized inventory levels to meet organizational working capital requirements.
  • Manage inventory within a demand-driven MRP business model, establishing inventory replenishment models
  • Continuous modelling and optimization for distribution center network design and forecasting; short and long term optimization modelling
  • Participate in diverse and interesting projects that combine operations research, optimization, and simulation
  • Serve as the primary business process owner for adding new product lines within existing and added specialty areas
  • Analyze and provide statistical analysis regarding inventory control and communicate supply and demand trends to key stakeholders
  • Right-size inventory requirements within distribution network, ensuring appropriate on-hand inventory to fulfill order requirements within an optimized distribution network
  • Create, manage and publish regular reporting and executive dashboards to facilitate decision-making processes and identify opportunities within inventory management
  • Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations Bring any compliance issues to the attention of management
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Required competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and independently
  • Experience with supply chain network planning and optimization software (i.e. Coupa Supply Chain Modeler / Llamasoft)
  • Experience with network optimization, inventory optimization, product flow analysis, operations planning, and cost to serve analysis
  • Excellent skills in the areas of planning, organizing, prioritizing, and negotiating to deliver results with a variable workload and multiple priorities
  • Ability to interpret medical/technical policies & procedures and incorporate into regular work Ability to work independently and as an active participant in a team environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including intermediate to advanced level spreadsheet application ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats with customers, employees, and vendors at all levels
  • Knowledge of computerized inventory systems
  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check aligned with state and federal laws and regulations

Required certifications, licenses, education, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain Management, Operational Research Planning, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Three years related experience

Preferred education, competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of the specialty pharmaceutical market
  • Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • PowerBI or similar experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP platforms, preference to SAP
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)
