Inventory Manager
The Inventory Manager is responsible for direct and indirect inventory oversight within an assigned Distribution Center. This leader balances customer service requirements with working capital targets to ensure an optimized inventory days on hand (DOH). It is vitally important that this role works cross-functionally with supported business units to continuously optimize forecasted demand, efficient capacity planning and closely monitor supply and manufacturer performance. The Inventory Manager also executes cycle counts, inventory reconciliations and is overall responsible to ensure inventory accuracy within the assigned Distribution Center.

Primary responsibilities:
- Manage direct product replenishment cycles; continuous management of re-order points using historical and forecasted demand signals
- Manage days on hand (DOH) inventory levels against contracted requirements with manufacturers
- Manage replenishment cycles for all indirect materials
- Report and manage dispositions for all inventory in quarantine or receiving inspection status
- Manage assigned DC inventory levels; on-hand inventory, write-offs, and reconciliations
- Analyze daily product and supply levels and ensure inventory accuracy at all locations; manage weekly cycle count processes
- Coordinate with Ops on returned products and corresponding inventory transactions
- Maintain reorder points, stocking levels and day-to-day inventory at forward stocking locations
- Order tracking and tracing for manufacturer orders to the DCs or forward stocking locations
- Resolving inbound receipt discrepancies
- Make recommendations for process improvement
- Deliver quality customer service to all team members, customers, and stakeholders
- Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations
- Bring any compliance issues to the attention of management
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Required competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and independently
- Ability to work independently and as an active participant in a team environment
- Experience with ERP software, ideally SAP S/4HANA
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats with employees and vendors at all levels
- Ability to collaborate with others to identify inefficiencies and process improvements
- Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check aligned with state and federal laws and regulations and within company and accreditation standards
Required certifications, licenses, education, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business
- 3-5 years related experience
Preferred education, competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution
- Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and cold chain shipping requirements

- Physical ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
