At BioCareSD, we are building a first-rate, highly efficient, and customer-centric Operations team to support our physician clinic customers. The Customer Onboarding Specialist is a vital contributor to this team. Reporting to the Customer Development Manager, the Specialist will be one of the first people – outside of Sales – to engage with our customers. Responsible for coordinating and planning customer enrollment and maintenance, the Specialist will have the opportunity to make a lasting impression on new customers through attentive communication and deep attention to details. In doing so, the Specialist will set the tone for our entire relationship with our customers and directly impact our ability to service our customers. Capable of meeting tight deadlines with high accuracy and autonomy, the Customer Onboarding Specialist will develop a deep knowledge of customer categories, ensure a streamlined customer experience, and coordinate with other departments and businesses.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to ensure a smooth enrollment and onboarding process
  • Compile complex and customized paperwork packets as per customer needs
  • Coordinate assignment of operational tasks to responsible stakeholders within the business; insure follow through; drive process improvements and efficiencies
  • Coordinate the customer journey, serve as the customer’s sole point of contact for customer services, partner closely with Sales across discovery, customer validation, account creation and Master Data, enrollment, onboarding, and daily maintenance (including address changes, identifier changes, etc.)
  • Manage through ambiguity, complexity and highly specialized customer needs
  • Identify, establish, templatize, and execute customer communications in partnership with Marketing and Sales
  • Coordinate and collaborate with affiliated business units, to include distribution organizations, to solidify a seamless customer experience
  • Work within multiple software systems to include Salesforce, SAP, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Required competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills in oncology or retina honed through at least [5] years of experience
  • Experience onboarding new customers, knowledge of sales operations, and a strong track record of partnering closely with Sales
  • Knowledge of GPO operations a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and independently
  • Excellent at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and delivering results despite a variable workload and multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as an active participant in a team environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including intermediate to advanced capabilities in Excel; SAP and experience with Salesforce a plus
  • A sincere interest in building relationships / partnerships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats with customers, employees, and vendors at all levels
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Required certifications, licenses, education, and experience:

  •  Knowledge of sales operations
  • Ability to work independently and as an active participant in a team environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including intermediate to advanced level spreadsheet application ability
  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check aligned with state and federal laws and regulations
  • 5 years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals

Preferred education, competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Previous experience with specialty onboarding
  • Previous experience with maintaining Master Data
