Typical duties:

  • Provide direction and establish priorities for the warehouse staff
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of employees
  • Identify and effectively resolve personnel issues
  • Actively drive process and personnel efficiency and lead initiatives to improve warehouse operations
  • Manage inventory levels and availability of critical supplies and equipment, including restocking and ordering
  • Monitor receipt and proper storage of products and supplies
  • Manage the loading and unloading of supplies and products, and the use of mechanical equipment such as a forklift
  • Oversee order picking and shipping activities, ensuring accuracy, proper packaging, documentation and tracking of all shipments
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to maintain adequate yet cost-effective supply levels
  • Allocate sufficient and appropriate space for fragile, temperature controlled and sensitive supplies and documents
  • Ensure the safety, security and cleanliness of the work environment including proper certifications as required for workers using equipment
  • Manage all temperature monitoring and validation activities in the warehouse
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment or computers
  • Provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of five years previous warehouse experience, including at least one year as a team lead or comparable supervisory position is required
  • Thorough knowledge of related equipment and experience with D365 or other warehouse software system
  • Ability or organize and prioritize a diversified and heavy workload
  • Good supervisory skills with the ability to effectively utilize and develop personnel to execute job tasks
  • Must be able to give precise written and verbal instructions
  • Proficient at basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and simple equations
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Ability to work and actively participate in a team environment, leading by example
  • Excellent negotiating, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift certification and associated safety training
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry
  • Requires valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but high school diploma or GED is required
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
  • Stability in employment history
  • Must pass background check within company standards
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
