Senior System Administrator

*** Please note: This is not a remote working position, but the employee will be able to temporarily work primarily from home during COVID. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Tempe, AZ once BioCare decides to resume normal onsite operations. ***

Typical duties:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s workstation imaging and deployment methodology
  • Manage the active directory, its enhancements, and updates
  • Develop and execute on plan for increasing overall desktop platform optimization and standardization
  • Manage the organization’s Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Computer hardware preparation and deployment
  • Monitor the performance of systems using Windows Analytics
  • Create and manage application deployment objects for new and existing software
  • In-depth administration with Intune
  • Administer, configure, deploy and maintain Windows servers (cloud and on-premise), PC support servers, application system specific platforms, and desktop operating systems and environments
  • Partner with the information security team to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities that exist on workstations
  • Work with other members of extended system engineering team to identify & develop solutions to address issues on workstations
  • Partner with extended networking and system engineering teams to innovate and support new technologies
  • Provide operational support including maintenance, software updates, hardware repairs, and interfacing with vendor tech support
  • Develop infrastructure documentation and technology mappings in compliance with SOP’s
  • Complete ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
  • Deliver quality customer service to all team members, customers, and stakeholders
  • Actively listen and collaborate with end users to design effective solutions that resolve issues

What we are looking for:

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems/Business Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 3 years of IT experience as an IT Senior Systems Administrator supporting a hybrid cloud environment including Windows, Azure, and O365
  • Knowledge of Windows Analytics and related imaging tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Intune including creation of policies, troubleshooting failures, and development testing
  • Understanding of Azure Active Directory configurations and domain Join Process
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Desktop products and services and familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to desktop support
  • Must have strong experience with servers in a physical, virtual and cloud environment including migrating workloads between platforms
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Architecture, configuration, automation, DevOps and Azure Technology is a big plus • Azure and O365 certifications are a strong plus
  • Takes initiative and owns responsibilities in projects • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver results with a variable workload and multiple priorities
  • Successful when working independently and as an active participant in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats with customers, employees, and vendors at all levels
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must pass background check within company standards
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
