The Human Resource Coordinator plays a critical role in the day-to-day HR operations at BioCare and helps to ensure an engaging and rewarding team member experience. As such, this role encompasses a wide range of activities with a specific emphasis on recruiting, the onboarding and offboarding process, community outreach, and compliance.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Recruit, prescreen and select candidates to be interviewed by hiring managers
  • Build partnerships with local diverse organizations to broaden candidate outreach
  • Compose offer letters and administer the onboarding process including background checks and drug screens, I-9 verifications, IT requests, training schedule, orientation, badges, etc.
  • Ensure diversity of recruiting methods and strategy to attract top quality candidates
  • Work closely with the HR team to handle the daily needs of the employees and the leadership team of a growing company
  • Collaborate with department managers to update and create job descriptions as needed
  • Monitor mandatory training to ensure timely completion by all employees, in accordance with labor laws, accreditation requirements, and SOPs
  • Administer the anniversary, performance review, and tuition reimbursement programs
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and current employment laws and regulations, including legislation that may impact operations
  • Drive the development and implementation of employee engagement and community involvement initiatives
  • Advise management on HR policies & SOPs, performance management, and help to effectively resolve any personnel issues
  • Deliver quality customer service to all team members, customers, and stakeholders
  • Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects as needed

Required competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Knowledge of human resource processes and best practices
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver results with a variable workload and multiple priorities, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop and manage processes and utilize analytical thinking skills to solve problems
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality with discretion
  • Ability to interact proactively with employees and leadership at all levels
  • Self-starter; able to work independently and as a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check aligned with state and federal laws and regulations and within company and accreditation standards

Required certifications, licenses, education, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or similar HR role

Preferred education, competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience, including recruiting, in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Intermediate understanding of state and federal employment laws
  • HR experience in a distribution center or healthcare environment
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
  • Interest in supporting Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) efforts
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
