Linda Matthews, MBA

President

Linda joined the BioCARE division in 2001, and under her leadership BioCARE sales have increased by more than 1500%. Linda has cultivated a culture that is steeped in customer and patient care that includes high touch and highly responsive customer service. She has led BioCARE’s strong commitment to affiliations with children’s hospitals and has been repeatedly responsive to the increasing needs for specialty distribution.

Linda’s leadership has resulted in the expansion of BioCARE’s product folio, several contracts with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) including three of the nation’s largest, and refining the industry’s first inventory consignment management program which has been emulated by other organizations. She has also demonstrated the uniqueness and benefits of BioCARE’s national distribution network to secure exclusive manufacturer product contracts.

Linda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC and a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University, Atlanta, GA.

She enjoys attending theater performances and concerts, and outdoor activities such as hiking. One of Linda’s first jobs was as a tennis instructor.

Andrew Kirk, MBA

Andrew has more than 15 years of experience in the BioCARE sales force that began as an Account Executive leading him to his current position. Andrew’s business strategy expertise has been an integral part in the consistent growth of the company by guiding the organization to expand on Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts. BioCARE’s national customer base is a direct result of his extensive experience in launching new business ventures.

Andrew’s solid business development track record includes idea conception, marketing feasibility studies and creating strategies targeted for business growth. Additionally, he has recruited, developed, managed, and retained a national sales team with an average tenure of nearly 13 years – an outstanding statistic in the industry.

Being a member of a manufacturer advisory board and serving as a Hemophilia Association committee member, coupled with his comprehensive marketing and business development experience, has led to Andrew becoming an industry expert sought out by investment and other groups.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from New Mexico State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of New Mexico. Andrew is also a graduate of the Executive Education Effective Sales Management program at the University of Michigan.

As his responsibilities require frequent traveling, Andrew enjoys spending his free time with his family. One of his first jobs was as an Account Executive for Lanier Worldwide.
Holly Simmons, RPh

VP, Specialty Distribution & Pharmacy Services

With nearly 30 years of experience in the retail / specialty / home infusion pharmacy industry, Holly brings passion and numerous strengths to BioCARE.

Her extensive successes in healthcare include the start-up of two home infusion pharmacies, management of pharmacy operations, pharmacy software sales and implementation, providing consulting solutions, creating and implementing procurement strategies, leading a non-acute GPO national sales team, and expertise in regulatory compliance and accreditation.

Holly has authored several articles focused on USP <797> compliance and accreditation survey preparation, and served as a Pharmacy Accreditation Surveyor for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

With a track record of continually increasing business, Holly undertakes the leadership and direction of non-acute business development for BioCARE.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Medical College of Virginia – Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed the Pre-Pharmacy Program at Mary Washington College.

Holly enjoys playing golf, cooking, studying information technology developments, and is an automobile enthusiast. Her first job, while in high school, was as a clerk at an independent retail pharmacy in her hometown of Franklin, VA.

Jeff Beck, BS

During the 20+ years he has worked in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, Jeff has earned a reputation as a passionate, motivational and trusted leader with the ability to bring resolutions to complex business issues.

Building upon his experience at Baxter BioScience, Jeff led his teams to continually exceed sales projections while he was the Vice President of National Accounts for Baxalta.

Additional highlights of his career include leading teams negotiating and contracting across a wide variety of business channels including specialty pharmacies, group purchasing organizations, integrated delivery networks and biological distributors. Jeff specializes in partnering with strategic customers to advance and expand the reach of product portfolios.

He is a Life Time Achievement Award Recipient from the Bleeding Disorders Alliance of Illinois and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio & Television Communications from Butler University

Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and their Golden Retriever, Macy. One of Jeff’s first jobs was working on a farm and his claim to fame is that he is a former announcer for the Harlem Globetrotters.
Sean Jeffries, MBA/MHSA

Director of Operations

Sean brings more than 15 years of healthcare experience to BioCARE that includes pharmaceutical sales, vaccines, and group purchasing program management with an emphasis on pediatric healthcare. He was the Director of PBM Services as well as the Director of Pharmacy Contracting/Group Purchasing Services at Child Health Corporation of America.

Sean’s responsibilities at BioCARE include managing all system activities related to contract and pricing support, and communicating and implementing contract and amendment requirements including product allocation issues, withdrawals, product pedigree, price changes, and distribution requirement.

An Honors Program graduate of Washington State University, Sean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Additionally he has Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Services Administration degrees from the W.P Carey School of Business, Arizona State University.

He enjoys outdoor activities with his wife, watching their three sons participate in various sports, and exploring the Southwest. One of Sean’s first jobs was working for a fruit packing company.
Karen Bohm

Operations Supervisor

Karen has a long and successful history with BioCARE, starting as a Customer Service Representative in 2002, advancing to Senior Customer Service Representative and then being promoted to Operations Supervisor.

She is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Customer Service staff as well as well as tracking key indicators and process improvements. Karen leads BioCARE’s regulatory and compliance activities and serves as a liaison between BioCARE and our network of distribution centers.

Karen attended Fullerton Junior College. She enjoys boating and spending time on the beach whenever possible. One of her first jobs was as a nursing assistant for elderly patients and assisting on the surgical floor of a hospital.
Jason Cates, MBA

Operations Analytics Manager

Jason’s vast experience in data analysis, inventory management, cost accounting, and Six-Sigma is vital to the continual improvement of BioCARE’s operations. Prior to joining BioCARE, Jason worked at Applied Biosystems/Life Technologies and Stratagene.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona.

He enjoys playing golf, coaching T-ball and spending time with his family. One of Jason’s very first jobs was for a construction company where he built artificial rock features for pools and ponds.

Christine Kobasic, BS

Christine brings nearly 20 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Her responsibilities at BioCARE include financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable and interpreting financial results for management.

Career highlights include reducing the amount of time for month-end closing from 15 days to 5 days by implementing accounting automation, creating an operating costs budgeting system using software that improved expense tracking, and providing guidance for multiple successful accounting software conversions. Additionally, Christine has utilized her leadership skills for oversight of her teams resulting in increased productivity and improved service to internal and external customers.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Accounting and a certification in Non-Profit Management Finance & Accounting from Arizona State University.
Randy Morgan, BS

Eastern Regional Manager

Randy has nearly 20 years as a results-proven sales leader that includes managing teams at Dale Medical Products, Cynosure, Incorporated and Smith & Nephew Healthcare. Randy earned multiple sales leadership awards that included Area Manager of the Year and Region of the Year.

Randy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida.
He is an avid sports fan and enjoys boating with his family. One of his first jobs was as a fitness instructor at a health and fitness center.
Dustin Schodt, MBA/LSSBB

Manager, Operations

Dustin brings along extensive operations experience from Blood Systems, Inc. His first position in 2005 as a Donor Outreach Coordinator led him to various advancements such as the Director of Operational Analytics and the Executive Director for the United Blood Services Customer Contact Center. He was responsible for the oversight of more than 250 staff and an annual collection of 400,000+ red blood cells for local hospitals. One of his career highlights includes an operational excellence initiative that emphasized support for front-line staff as well as maximizing the customer experience.

Dustin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Communications from Arizona State University and Master of Business Administration degree from Southwestern College. Well versed in the Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Dustin is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Dustin enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and staying active with hiking, golf, basketball, and racquetball. One of his first jobs was as an intern at United Blood Services.
Pam Wiltz, BS

National Manager, Specialty Distribution

Pam has been with Blood Systems for more than 20 years, having joined United Blood Services as a Donor Recruitment Representative in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was promoted to the Director of Donor Recruitment for the blood center in 1996, and joined BioCARE in 2005 as an Account Manager where she received several awards including the BioCARE Representative of the Year.

Pam’s responsibilities are focused on developing strategies for expanding the non-acute market, developing relationships with independent delivery networks (IDN) and group purchasing organizations (GPO).

Pam holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana. While not working at BioCARE, Pam enjoys activities with her family, cooking and traveling. One of her fist jobs was as a program coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
